The Improved Community Health Fund (ICHF) was introduced to help vulnerable groups access primary healthcare services. The project aims to support Most Vulnerable Children (MVCs) by enrolling them in CHF schemes, except for those in universities, who are covered through Institutional Health arrangements or the National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF). Additionally, a referral procedure has been circulated to all implementing partners (IPs) to ensure seamless access to healthcare services. A key goal is to increase MVC attendance to 80% or above, ensuring that beneficiaries are receiving the medical care they need to stay healthy and succeed academically.
All SATF beneficiaries, from primary to secondary school, are covered by the Improved Community Health Fund, with their households also benefiting as secondary beneficiaries. This initiative ensures that both students and their families have access to essential healthcare services, promoting overall health and well-being. Through these efforts, the project aims to reduce barriers to healthcare and support the holistic development of vulnerable communities.
