Protecting children from violence, exploitation, and abuse is crucial for their survival and development. SATF advocates for the creation of a safe environment for children, focusing on child protection programs, legal support for MVCs (especially child-headed households), and the promotion of children's rights. The Trust works to combat harmful customs that affect girls and provides psychosocial support to abused children. SATF uses community-based approaches to protect children and strengthen families. It has partnered with TAWIFI in Handeni (Tanga) and Huruma Women Group (HWG) in Dodoma to deliver child protection training. Currently, SATF is implementing the Tuwalinde Child Protection project in Ruvuma, supported by PEPFAR/AFHR. Child protection is integrated into all core SATF interventions.
